“Writing is easy, writing on the internet is not!”

Writing came naturally to me. From childhood, I was quite an eloquent writer and a fluent orator. After getting into traveling, I thought of sharing our stories with our readers through blogging. But blogging isn't as easy as it sounds. To be an efficient communicator in real life and to be a successful blogger on the internet are two different things. Blogging requires research on the subject, popular keywords, and then creating unique content with a structured thought process, effective expression, and grammatical correctness. And trust me, with so many articles about similar topics all over the internet, creating 100% unique and exciting content is no less than a challenge. So, in this era of automation, it always helps to use tools for each of these steps. So, today I'm going to share my perspective on the blogging tools that we use. I hope it helps you in making your choice!

Best Free Keyword Analyzer for SEO

These days, writing articulate articles about topics that you consider interesting is not good enough to become a successful blogger. Instead, writing articles on topics considered important by the readers or are trending on the internet is a much better bet for SEO (Search Engine Optimization), leading to successful blogging. Also, all trending topics may not be easy to rank upon as there may be severe competition on them and not all of them may yield the same return on investment. Therefore, it is imperative to first perform keyword research to find what keywords (topics) in your blogging niche are being searched upon the most on the internet, find which keywords are easier to rank upon and which of them yield more cost per click (CPC) than the rest. There are several tools in the market to do this analysis, among which I like SEMrush Keyword Research Tool, Ahrefs Keyword Explorer, and Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest Keyword Analyzer. However, all of them are pretty expensive (monthly plans) and hence will only break even if you are earning a lot from your blogs. But if you are new to the market and are looking for free alternatives, the best tool fit for the purpose is Keywords Everywhere. It comes as a Google Chrome or Firefox extension. After you install it, whenever you search a keyword on Google, it provides you information on the related keywords, similar keywords that people also searched for, trending keywords, most searched long-tail keywords, etc., right on the search page, as shown below. So, in my opinion, it is a must-have tool for every blogger.

Best Free SERP (Search Engine Results Page) Checker for SEO

In today’s world, it is very important to keep an eye on where your website ranks for specific keywords on Google. Again, the major players have their paid solutions for this like SEMrush Position Tracking, Ahrefs SERP Checker, and Ubersuggest Rank Tracking. However, there is also a free alternative that I use regularly which is known as WhatsMySERP SERP Checker. Once you visit the website and create a free account you can start tracking your SERP. It also provides a handy Keyword Analyzer extension for Google Chrome similar to Keywords Everywhere that provides information on the keywords as you search them on Google as shown below.

Grammarly indeed is a game-changer for bloggers and online content creators. Available as a stand-alone application on your desktop or the cloud or a chrome extension or a plugin to Microsoft word and outlook, Grammarly helps you with your grammar, punctuation, style, tonality and conciseness. It is available as a free tool but with limited features. The premium version (that we use) comes with additional essential features like a plagiarism checker.

Best Free Plagiarism Checker for SEO

In today’s era, creating new content is more difficult than ever. No matter how unique you may think your content is, there’s still a probability of it partially matching one of the thousands of existing contents around the same topic on the internet. So, it is imperative that before you publish any content on your website, you ensure that it is truly one of a kind lest you land in legal trouble over copyrights or your website gets penalized/blacklisted by Google. For this purpose, there are many paid plagiarism checker tools in the market, including Grammarly. However, in terms of deep plagiarism checking, the only free tool in the market is PrePostSEO. So, try it now to realize that you’ve always needed it!
