About Us
Hello, I am Shirshendu!
Trained in engineering and management and with a career in consulting firms, life was utterly mundane and monochrome. So finally on a chilly, foggy winter morning, I decided to pick up my camera and step outside the warm, cozy room to experience the miracles of creation. Since then, I’ve traveled across the globe collecting stories and training myself in my areas of interest which are architecture, cityscape, and landscape photography. My images and articles have been featured in several international magazines, journals, newspapers, and websites.
On the personal side of things, I’m an Indian by birth and a Dutch citizen by naturalization, residing in the Netherlands since 2013 with my wife Jayeeta Sengupta and my son Soutrik Sengupta (Ricky). So that’s all about me. Now eager to hear about you!
Hi, I am Jayeeta!
Trained in management and working in human resources, I decided to explore my passion for capturing the moments of life in its details. Over the years, I’ve specialized in doors and windows, still life, and street photography. Complementing each other’s photography styles, Shirshendu and I try covering the essence of a place in its entirety, thereby providing completeness to its story. I’m looking forward to hearing from you on how we can help you!

“We are very impressed with the wonderful photos of our UNESCO intangible cultural heritage flower parade on your blog! You really have an eye for photography. Thank you for visiting the parade and indeed for the detailed description of the event and your findings. Hope you will visit us next year during the decoration days at Noordwijkerhout. If you do please let us know in advance so that we can meet you to give you more information on the decoration process!”

Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage
“You wrote a very good article about a visit to Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage! You not only explained why the windmills are here but also what you can do when you visit us with a ticket. It is very important to us since the money we earn from selling entrance tickets goes towards the maintenance of our World Heritage Site which costs us about 15,000 euros per year, per windmill. Thank you for your article.”
