Every house has stories to tell. Stories trapped within its four walls. Stories of jolly days, difficult times, and moments of endurance. And doors and windows are the gateways to these stories. They reflect the social and economic status, the cultural ethos, and often the dweller's political position. They whisper in our ears the history of the place and all the uprisings and befallings they've witnessed over the years. They also intrigue the ones zealous about patterns, designs, and textures. In this gallery, we've tried capturing the tales of the bygone days narrated by the sole surviving witnesses who've carefully preserved them in their hearts over decades and sometimes even centuries of endurance.
