Located in Central Europe, the country of Czechia, formerly known internationally as the Czech Republic, has become one of Europe’s most captivating tourist destinations, especially since its peaceful transition to democracy following the Velvet Revolution in 1989. It is a cultural crossroads of Central Europe, bordered by Germany, Austria, Poland, and Slovakia, and offers an extraordinary depth of history along with countless attractions to explore and experience firsthand. From fairytale medieval towns and Gothic cathedrals to Baroque palaces and vibrant modern cities, Czechia is a country where history and culture are preserved in remarkable detail. It is also home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the historic centers of Prague, Český Krumlov, and Kutná Hora, each showcasing centuries of architectural and artistic heritage that continue to inspire travelers and photographers alike.
