Furrowed stone churches, bedazzling monasteries, groves of pine and deciduous trees, stretches of bright green meadow, and a backdrop of the majestic Carpathian Mountains – probably these words better describe the fascinating countryside of Romania that’s otherwise steeped in legends of vampires, werewolves, and other dark creatures of the night.
