Greece Travel
Whether you're a dedicated beach bum, a serious adrenaline junkie, a history enthusiast, or a gastronome, Greece has something for you. Explore cobblestone Byzantine roads, climb volcanoes, spot dolphins and marine turtles, and cycle through beautiful forests. Pass through olive gardens, beautiful villages, and petrified forests on your way to the coast. Do some world-class kitesurfing, wreck diving, and rock climbing with breathtaking views. Or just board a boat and set sail into the glistening blue beyond.
Enter the ring where the first Olympians fought. Climb stone steps to the monasteries situated on the cliffs of Meteora. From the grandeur of Delphi, contemplate the oracle's insights, see a starlit performance at an ancient outdoor theatre, and be awestruck by gigantic marble sculptures dug out from the Aegean.
Taste unknown herbs and mountain greens, mussels boiled in ouzo, olive-baked bread, and fresh-from-the-sea seafood. Crumbled feta, honeyed soft cheeses, and sharp, hard rounds are all good options to try. Risottos and pastas with Italian influences, as well as exquisite pastries with Turkish spices.
Through this series of articles, I intend to share our stories and experiences of traveling across Greece with our fellow photography and travel enthusiasts. I hope they help you plan your travels across this beautiful country!
Attica is a historical region in east-central Greece comprising Athens, the capital of Greece, and its countryside, that has acted as the seat of Greek civilization for ages and held a very important position in Classical history. Geographically, it is a peninsula surrounded on three sides by the Aegean Sea, with the rest of the continent to the north. Although Athens and its suburbs occupy the majority of the area, it also features sparsely inhabited communities, particularly along the boundaries. Archaeological sites, highland villages, seaside towns, and numerous beaches can all be found in Attica.
